James “Jim” Brian Coleman 61 passed away March 16, 2018 at Parkview Hospice. Jim was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 16, 1956. He was born to the late Edward Arthur Coleman and Margueretta E. Coleman (Porter) His formative years were spent in Fort Wayne, later moving with his family to New Haven, Indiana where he graduated from New Haven High School. He also attended Indiana University in Fort Wayne. Jim was currently employed at Cablecraft Motion Controls in New Haven, Indiana as a Gauge Lab technician. Jim joined the fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons in 1993, becoming a member of the former New Light Lodge in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He later became the Worshipful Master of that Lodge in 1997 and later became Worshipful Master of New Haven Lodge #740 in New Haven, Indiana. Jim’s masonic journey continued with his membership of Summit City Lodge # 170 in Fort Wayne, IN, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Fort Wayne where he obtained a decorated title of MSA “Meritorious Service Award”. Jim was also a member of Fort Wayne York Rite Bodies, and a dual member of Dekalb York Rite in Auburn, Indiana where his leadership shined serving as the head of 3 Bodies “Ft. Wayne Chapter, Council, and Commandery”. York Rite Sovereign College #55 where he received the Order of Purple Cross and Associate Regent, Knight of the York Cross of Honour Indiana Priory 8 serving as a Past Prior in 2015-16, Yoeman of York Pokagon Council No. 3, Pokagon Council 147 of Allied Masonic Degrees, Royal Order of Scotland. Jim went on to serve as Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons for the State of Indiana in 2014-15. Jim joined the Fort Wayne Chapter #432 O.E.S. with his Wife Shari. Jim was united in marriage to his wife Shari in 2009 and they made their home in Grabill, Indiana and in New Haven, Indiana. Jim is survived by his wife Shari Musgrave; mother, Margueretta; and a brother John (Lois) of Columbia City, Indiana. Several cousins also are survivors. Preferred memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Chapel, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 also at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Order of Eastern Star service will begin at 7pm immediately followed by Masonic Service. Private burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens.
