IN THE CARE OF
Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home
Jacqueline A Bock, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 18, 2018, at the Towne House Retirement Community. She was the daughter of the late Wilmer C. and Thea A. (Heyden) Bock. She was born in Fort Wayne, graduated from South Side High School, Fort Wayne Art School, and then studied for two years at the Philadelphia Museum School of Art. For three years she did free-lance work and in 1950 she joined Magnavox, and later moved into the Graphic Arts Department. While there she created and painted a mural for the lobby of a newly built office building for Magnavox, in Torrance, California. After Magnavox was purchased by Phillips Consumer Electronics Co., she moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1980 with Phillips to work as a Graphic Designer. She retired from there in 1988, and a year later returned to Fort Wayne. Besides her interest in art, she very much enjoyed playing Bridge, and she belonged to two Bridge Clubs, here in Fort Wayne. She is survived by her cousins, Evelyn Zoller, Duvalle, Stanley, and Stephen Walter, Doris Kosterman, and Gary, Steven and Brian Zoller.
Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Saturday, December 22, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, or to Worship Anew (formerly Worship for Shut-ins).
