Jack E Spring

Jack E. Spring of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was 93 when he passed on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born November 19, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Oscar J. Spring and Mary Khan.

He attended Northwestern University and came to Fort Wayne in 1955. He retired after 20 years in 1998 from American Wire, Rope and Sling as a sales engineer. Jack was married to Loretta Licht in May of 1953. He was a sapphire life master of American Contract Bridge. Jack was involved in local Theater for many years and enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling for Bridge tournaments.

He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Jack last lived at Georgetown Place since May, 2021 and was very happy there.

Jack is survived by his children, Crystal Albert, John Spring (Mike Baker), and Paula (Eric) Suchanek; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; with other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Loretta, in 2019; and by infant twins.

Service is 1 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue Fort Wayne, IN 46805, with visitation two hours prior to service.

Entombment in Concordia Gardens, Lake Ave. Preferred memorials are to Messiah Lutheran Church. Arrangements by D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home.
