Jack Harold Covey, 82, of Roanoke, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 7, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Huntington, Indiana on February 20, 1942, to the late Delbert "Pete" and Mary (Homier) Covey. Jack graduated from Huntington Catholic High School and went on to join the National Guard. After leaving the National Guard, he went to work at International Harvester and Southwest Allen County Schools, where he retired. Jack enjoyed being busy, whether he was outside tinkering, gardening, fishing or adding to his many collections, especially model trains and vintage cars. He also enjoyed watching sports and was an IU basketball and Indianapolis Colts football fan. Everyone that knew Jack knew that he had the gift of gab. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life of 59 years, Louise (Miles) Covey; son, Troy Covey; daughter, Lisa (Covey) McGuffey; granddaughter, Lindsey; brother, William Covey; and sister, Mary Ann Gressley. There will be no services at this time per Jack's wishes.
