Irene M Palmer

Irene M Palmer, age 99, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023. She was born November 2, 1923 in Canonsburg Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Frank J and Mary (Churney) Dichak. Irene worked as a pharmacy clerk at Physicians Plaza Pharmacy, retiring after 20 years in 1988. She is survived by two daughters Patricia A. Smith of Zionsville, IN, Mary L (James) Manwaring of Aurora, IL, daughter in law MaryBeth Palmer of Wadsworth, OH., five grandchildren Michael (Katie) Smith of Brownsburg, IN., Brian (Kelly) Palmer of Westfield, IN., Sarah (Jeremy) Scheifele of St. Charles, IL., Scott (Victoria) Manwaring of Chicago, IL., Steven Smith of Dunedin, Fl. She is also survived by seven great- grandchildren, Max Palmer, Mia Palmer, Will Palmer, Dylan Scheifele, Megan Scheifele, Quinn Manwaring, and Parker Manwaring, and two grand-animals Desmond & Olivia. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Mario J Palmer, son Kenneth J Palmer, and four brothers and two sisters, Steve Dichak, Albert Dichak, John Recicar, Frank Dichak, Mary Chermer, and Helen Mountford. A visitation for Irene will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825. Following the visitation will be a mass of christian burial at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
