Heidi U. (Jones) Gilbert

Heidi U. (Jones) Gilbert, 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023. She was born on July 25, 1941 in Lepanto, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Willmer and Ethel (Grenning) Jones. She owned and operator Heidi’s Quilt Shop and was a cafeteria manager for the Madison Grant School Corporation. She was a member of The Chapel church. Surviving family include her husband, Ralph Elba Gilbert, whom she married on September 12, 1957; daughters, Rebecca Wilson of Fort Wayne and Debora Beavan of Chaptico, Maryland; son, Timothy Gilbert of Smyrna, Tennessee; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Evon Harrison of Chenoa, Illinois, Wilma Evans and Sue Evans, both of Wauchula, Florida; and brothers, Oran Jones of Warrenton, Missouri and Buddy Jones of Lepanto. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm and Pastor Rick Hawks officiating.
