Harriet M. Haynes

Harriet M. Haynes, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Kingston Care Center. She was born to the late Glen and Edna Higgins on January 23, 1925 in Fort Wayne, IN. She began her career owning her own hair salon and later worked for GE for several years. She was also a member of Sherman Street Church of God and Three Rivers Wesleyan Church. Harriet enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. She is survived by her sons Gary Haynes and Victor (Sandy) Haynes; son in-law Glenn Klepper and daughter in-law Carol Haynes; grandchildren Sarah, Becky, Daniel, Michael, and Matthew; great grandchildren Aiyden and Ivy. She is preceded in death by her son George Haynes; daughter Peggy Klepper and her siblings Marcella and George. Funeral services will be on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 11:00am with calling 1 hour prior at Sloan and Sons Funeral Home 1327 Wells St. Calling will also be held on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial in Scipio Cemetery.
