She was born September 18, 1931 in Uhrichsville, Ohio to the late Walter and Jessie Schreiner. Gretchen was a retired elementary school teacher for over twenty years and a fifty year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hartford City, Indiana. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a green thumb for tending to plants.
Gretchen is survived by her son, Hal (Dottie) Oberholzer Jr.; daughters, Amy Vincent, and Kristi (Jim) Halstead; daughter-in-law, Jodi Oberholzer; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Hal Oberholzer; and son, Tim Oberholzer.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at her home with immediate family members in attendance.
