GEORGE H. POWELL, 86, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015. Born in Conners ville, Ind., George retired as an inspector with J.B. Tool & Die in 1993 and had previously worked for Bowmar Instruments in Waynedale. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and member of Huntington V.F.W. and American Legion Post 241 Waynedale. George enjoyed tinkering, fixing things, working with his hands, helping people and loved his family. Surviving are his sons, Richard (Ruth) Powell of Fort Wayne and Randall (Kelly) Powell of Roanoke; daughter, Regena (Steve) Bunsold of Fort Wayne; son-in-law, David Linnemeier Jr. of Arcola; brother, Lewis (Kathy) Powell of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Zachary (Angie Hunter) Linnemeier, Travis Linnemeier, Robert (Kelsey Champion) Powell, Ryan Powell, Raeshelle (Anthony) Cousineau, Brandon (Crystal) Bunsold, and Casey Bunsold; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Della Mae Powell; son, George Powell Jr.; daughter, Ronda Linnemeier; and grandson, Braden Bunsold.
