Frances L. Lange, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on June 27, 2018 at Parkview Hospital Randallia. Born on July 2, 1934, in Jay County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Yaeger. A member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, for almost 60 years, she graduated from Portland High School and Ball State University. Frances taught at Arcola High School and the Indiana University Division of General and Technical Studies (DGTS) in Fort Wayne. Later in life she also served her Lord as secretary at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. “Frances was a loving mother and grandmother who always saw the good in others.”
She is survived by her children, Lisa (Joe) Savina and David (Valerie) Lange; grandchildren, Jacob, Benjamin, Brandon, Andrew and Katherine, and sisters Anne Humbert, Mary Jane Carter, and Ruth Bastian. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Raymond Lange; son, Matthew Lange, and siblings, Martha Mae Beasley, George Yaeger, Dorothy Zuber, and Gordon "Jack" Yaeger.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday, July 2, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S Anthony Blvd, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 6pm, Sunday, July 1, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.
