Felix T. Braun, 86, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013. He was born on January 5, 1927 in Decatur to the late Frank and Bertha (Kintz) Braun. He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from St. Joseph Rensselaer College in 1951. Mr. Braun retired in 1992 ending 41 years of teaching in Fort Wayne Community Schools. He particularly loved spending time with all of his grandchildren. He considered them all gifts from God. He enjoyed spending time antiquing and gardening, especially his tomatoes. Surviving family include his four sons, Steven (Anne), Matthew, Joseph (Lauri), Robert (Lisa); six daughters, Shirley (Tom), Kathleen (Joseph), Constance (Ron), Merri (Jim), Gail, Amy (Scott); 34 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; and sisters, Jeanette Loshe, Rita Young, and Peggy Lengerich. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Joan (Phillips) Braun. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 pm on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Allen County Right to Life or Turnstone.
