Erica Dawn Felix

Erica attended North Side High School. She spent many years as a caretaker before obtaining her nursing degree at IVY Tech in 2006. Erica loved serving others and being a nurse for over 17 years. Erica was a loving and dedicated wife. She was a wonderful mother and very active "Nana". Erica enjoyed shopping, traveling, spending time with family. She also loved ice cream and fishing.

Erica leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Barnard Felix; three daughters, Teria Cooper, Tanisha (Carl) Thomas, and Janine Felix; one son, Danard Carter; four brothers, Corey Cooper, Anthony Cooper, Tommy (Saffron) Cooper, and Adam McLaughlin; three sisters, Giovanni Cooper, Wynette, and Marvette Nance; four grandchildren, Sa'Niyah and Sha'Mari Thomas, Jaliyah, and Justin McKinley; a great granddaughter, Journee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Nance and Betty Cooper, mom in law, Gwendolyn Felix; a brother, Derrick Cooper; a sister in law, Tameika Felix; nephew, Dreshawn Cooper; grandparents, Willie and Mae Cooper, Royce and Bernice Nance and a host of other relatives.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Noon on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church 1151 Francis Street (46803) with visitation one hour prior to services. Erica will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery.
