Elizabeth J. “Betty” Richardville, 81, of Fort Wayne, died, Wed., March 2, 2011 at St. Anne Home. Born in Arcola, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jane (Sciscoe) Wessels. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and had also been a Special Education Teacher’s Aide at Mabel K. Holland Elementary School. Surviving are her husband, Bernard E. “Bernie” Richardville; sons, Michael E. (Karen) Richardville, Steven P. (Eva) Richardville, John D. Richardville, and Daniel J. (Katie) Richardville; son-in-law, David Bireley; 10 grandchildren; one great granddaughter and sisters; MaryAnn Brown and Patricia (Paul) Rider. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathlene M. Bireley, who died in 2004 and a sister, Adelaide Wessels. “Betty possessed an abiding faith and a servant’s heart and always put others ahead of herself. She loved children and animals and was a gentle, loving person to everyone she met.” Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Mon. March 7, 2011 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 W. Wallen Road with calling one hour prior to the service. Calling will also be Sun., March 6, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 3:30 p.m. at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Arcola, Ind. Memorial s may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School or Masses.
