Edgar A. Pelfrey age 79, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol (Cramer) Pelfrey; daughter, Amy Misner; sons, Brad (Ellen) Pelfrey, Joe (Margaret) Hammons and Jeffrey (Tiffany) Hammons; grandchildren, Paige and Emily Misner, Evan and Grace Hammons, Logan and Prewitt Pelfrey and Megan and Kyle Spray. Ed was born on February 20, 1939 in Hixson, TN to the late Lake and Veda Pelfrey. He proudly served our country in the US Air Force. Ed retired from Central Soya with over 35 years of service. Poppy was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 12:00 pm at The Chapel (2505 W. Hamilton Rd S, Fort Wayne, IN) with Pastor Rick Hawks officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, IN.Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of choice. Services entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home.
