E. Kenneth Federspiel, 95, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away January 18, 2019. He was born February 3, 1923 in New Haven, IN to the late John and Theresa (Blaising) Federspiel. Ken was a carpenter owning Ken Federspiel, Inc. and previously a foreman for John Worthman Homes. He served as the past Executive Officer of the Home Builder’s Association. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He is survived by his children, Dan (Debra) Federspiel of New Haven, IN, Barbara (Dr. Tom) Stieglitz of Rockford, IL, Ann (Dr. Phil) Godsey of Fort Wayne, IN, grandchildren, Gina Gray of Fort Wayne, Geoffrey Federspiel of Indianapolis, IN, Nora Groeschel of Madison, WI, Ezra Stieglitz of Fort Collins, CO, Hannah Stieglitz of Madison, WI, and great grandchildren, Joe and Lucy Gray, and Silas Jurkowski. Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Mary R. (Steigmeyer) Federspiel, granddaughter, Emma Ann Stieglitz, his sisters, Vivian Federspiel and Mildred Rockhill, and his brothers, Harold and Paul Federspiel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 24, 2019, 10:30AM, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation there one hour prior to Mass. An additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 4-8 PM, at D O McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN. He will be laid to rest at the Catholic Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church Building Fund or Heartland Hospice.
