Dorothy “Dotty” May Davis, 87, of Fort Wayne passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at her home. She was born May 31, 1936 in Fort Wayne, daughter of the late John R. and Helen (Bock) Syndram. She had worked at Wayne Knitting Mill for a year prior to working at Hall's Restaurant for 16 years and the Tower Tavern for 12 years as a waitress, bartender, and cook. Surviving Dotty are her children, Rhonda Cook, Bob (Donna) Hardy, and Twylla (Dave) Hinkle; brother, Richard (Donna) Syndram; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren, step children, Mike Davis, David Davis, Rick Davis, John Davis, and Pam (Paul) Kennell; and sister-in-law, Pat Syndram. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Eugene Davis in 2022; son, Timothy Fink in 1993; brother, Charles Syndram; and step daughter-in-law, Kim Davis. Funeral services will be Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation for Dorothy will also be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery.
