Dorothy was a marvel. A marvelous wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, and human being. She married Allen Brown in 1954 and together they had 5 children. Her children believe they grew up with the kind of parents kids dream of having, that their friends were often envious of. Dorothy's famous chocolate chip cookies and easy going demeanor made people of all ages gravitate to her. She was especially proud of her 40-year nursing career at Parkview and St. Joseph hospitals. She was a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Craig (Courtney Stillman) Brown of Mokena, IL, Cindy Fogle of Fort Wayne; Kent (Eileen) Brown of Alpine, CA, Karen (Jim) Botticelli of El Cajon, CA, and Kimberly (Scott) Risk of St. Joseph, MI; Grandchildren: Regan Conrad, Sydney, Zoey and Cory Brown, Katie Scriver, Carrie Scherer, Jack Fogle, Taylor and AJ Brown, Chloe Harris, Brandon and Jimmy Botticelli, and Kelly and Kathleen Risk. Great-grandchildren: Kennedy Kolkman, Nora Scriver and Adaline Botticelli. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; son-in-law, Joe Fogle; and 5 siblings.
