Doris M. Young

Doris M. Young, 89, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died Friday, July 9, 2021, at River Terrace Retirement Community. Born June 7,1932, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Clara M. (Fuhrman) Wickliffe. Doris worked at the YMCA and Pizza Hut. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William (Bill) E. Young, in March 2021. Doris is survived by her daughter, Karen S. (Stephen) Stoner of Crossville, Tn; son, Robert M. (Patricia) Young, of Charlotte, MI; two grandchildren, Wade A. (Ivonne Ibarra) Stoner of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Shawn M. Stoner of Knoxville, Tn.; and two great-grandchildren, Kainen R. Stoner of Cookville, Tn., and Jillian A. Stoner of Lenoir City, Tn. Services will be held in the chapel at River Terrace Retirement Community, 400 Caylor Blvd., Bluffton, Indiana, on July 17, 2021 at 1 p.m., with calling one hour prior. Burial will take place in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Doris' honor may be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46815.
