Donald "Pete" W. Mohrman, 91, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018. Born in Quincy, Illinois, Donald was the son of the late Wilbur and Florence Mohrman. He graduated from Quincy High School in Illinois and earned his bachelors degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Donald worked with General Electric for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, and ELFUN. During his working career he was very active in educating the youth at Indiana Tech and FWCS Study Connection. Donald enjoyed golfing, woodworking, being at the lakes, traveling, and spending time with his family. Donald cherished his grandchildren and helped his grandson make a winning soap box derby car. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Jean Mohrman of Fort Wayne; sons, Michael (Jenny) Mohrman, M.D. of Churubusco, John (Julia) Mohrman, M.D. of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Mohrman, Joel Mohrman, Ben (Gianna) Mohrman, Ashley (Jason) Kennedy, Brittany (Michael Hurley) Mohrman, Allison Mohrman, Madeline Mohrman, Mitchell Mohrman; step-grandchildren, Brad Geist, Mallory (John Bates) Geist; great-grandchildren, Max, Jack, Pete, Marah, Emilia, Adam, Sam, and Mason; and brother, Robert (Shirley) Mohrman of Smithton, MO. Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Mohrman; siblings, Harold Mohrman, Ruth Royalty, Glen Mohrman, and Jack Mohrman. Service is 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Monday, March 5, 2018, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
