Donald Lee Menze, 83, passed away December 27, 2022 at Story Point Fort Wayne West. He was born April 10, 1939 in Huntington, IN, the son of the late Raymond and Mildred Menze. He graduated from South Side High School in 1957 and earned his Bachelor’s in business from Western Michigan University. Donald had worked at Marathon Oil, Peter Eckrich and was the Owner and President of Old Fort Supply. He was a charter member of Aboite Lutheran Church and South West Lutheran Church. Donald was also a charter member of Sycamore Hills Golf Club, a board member with the University of St. Francis for 25 years, longtime member of Fort Wayne Business Forum and Old Fort Bible Study. He was very passionate about playing golf and played numerous courses around the country. He loved nothing more than spending the weekends at the lake with his family and grandchildren. His favorite thing to do, was to drive the yellow boat as fast as he could toward the shore and turn at the last minute. Donald was a man with a big heart and treated everyone with kindness. This was evident when mentoring young business owners and his devotion and generosity to his family, whom he was very proud. There was no one more important than the love of his life, his “Carol Baby”. She was the girl he fell in love with at the age of 12, and now his loving wife of 61 years. He is survived by his wife, Carol Menze of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters, Amy (Chris) Spiritoso of Fort Wayne, IN; Susan (Scott) DeMell of Solon, OH; grandchildren, Madison and Abby Spiritoso, Becky, Jessie and Katie Probert.
