Donald Elvin Fisher, 94, of Fort Wayne, Ft. Myers, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022, with his two daughters by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the youngest child of Boyd and Helen (Fink) Fisher. He graduated from South Side High School and Indiana Institute of Technology. Don served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean war, then went on to have a career as an electronics engineer at Magnavox. He enjoyed bowling, square dancing, creating memories with his family, playing games, and spending time in the sunshine at Ft. Myers, Fla. Don was a kind man who served and supported his wife and family with faithfulness and love his entire life. He is survived by his daughters, Denise (Edward) Kneller of Illinois and Dawn (Robert) Murbach of Spencerville; five grandchildren, Andrew (Anne) Kneller, Jessica (Samuel) Johnson, Artyom Murbach, Wilson (Rachel) Murbach, and Reagan Murbach; and four great-grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis; and sisters, Carolyn (Charles) Quick and Jean (Gerald) Swigart. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, in the chapel at Golden Years Homestead, 8300 Maysville Road, Fort Wayne, (in the Assisted Living building), with visitation from 2 p.m. until the start of the service.
