Donald W. Craig, 83, went home to be with his Lord and Savior March 23, 2018 in Valrico, FL. He was born on March 19, 1935 in Fort Wayne, IN. Donald served in the Army for 4 years until he was Honorably Discharged. He retired from Tokheims after over 40 years of employment as an electrician. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, and Immanuel Lutheran Church. Donald coached girls fast pitch softball for 16 years and enjoyed spending time on the lake and fishing with his family after his retirement. Surviving are his daughters, Shelly (Kerry) Clay, and Beth Diaz; 4 grandchildren, Nicollette and Brianna Clay, Aubrie and Jordan Craig; 2 great-grandchildren; Tamia Craig and Braxton Edwards; sisters, Marilyn Duggins and Marcile Moore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol “Joan” Craig; daughter Dawn Craig; granddaughter Felicia Craig; and brother, Marvin Craig. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10:30AM at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46825, with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at from 5-8pm also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Leo Memorial Cemetery Leo, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Development Department Life Path Hospice, 12470 Telecom Drive Suite 300 Temple Terrace, FL 33637, on behalf of Sapphire Team, or to his grandchildren’s education in care of D.O.
