Dolores Jane Schaefer, 92, passed away on November 4, 2018. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on December 25, 1925, the daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Kaiser. Dolores was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. During her working days she worked at Stein Advertising, National Automotive, and Montgomery Wards. She was a dedicated Mother and Grandmother. She loved making new friends and being surrounded by the people she cared about. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors, walking, working in the yard, and basking in the sun. Traveling and taking bus tours was another hobby she enjoyed. Surviving are her daughter, Diane (Steve) Diem; grandchildren, Katherine Diem, and Nick (Marci) Diem; and great-grandson, Cooper Diem. She was preceded in death by her sister, Aldine Hoffman. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Visitation one hour prior. Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens.
