Dolores R. Reed

Dolores R. (Grant) Reed, 98, passed away on November 26, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital from COVID-19. She was born in Payne, Ohio on December 30, 1921, to the late Clyde and Lola Grant. Dolores graduated with the Class of 1940 from East Union Center School in Wells County. She retired from Poly-Hi Plastics in 1987. Dolores was a Cub Scout Leader, Sunday school teacher, and seamstress. She also had a passion for art and she liked to write and compose poems. Dolores was a theme decorator for four businesses and loved ballroom dancing. She is survived by her children, Elaine Line from Bluffton IN, Diane (Tim) Moore from Fort Wayne, and Duane (Kay) Reed from Arora, Colorado; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Elmer R. Reed; sister, Vivian (Don) Smith; brother, Charyl Grant; and son in-law, Robert "Bob" Line. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, with visitation one hour prior. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery to follow the service. Memorial contributions can be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
