Diana L. Hardin, 74, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on February 3, 2024. Diana was born April 6, 1949 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, daughter to the late Richard and Ilene DeWildt. Diana was an avid reader, wise and independent. She enjoyed painting, keeping up on current events and streaming countless crime and detective shows. Among her many gifts was her love and devotion to her daughter Laura. Diana was Laura’s primary caregiver and they were inseparable. Diana encouraged and advocated for Laura with grace and strength for 41 years. Diana is survived by her son, Tom (Cari) Hardin; granddaughters, Meredith, Ellie, Amelia, and Mae; siblings, Linda (Jim) Cooper, Kathlene Scheidel, Sam DeWildt, Marcia (Phil) Dolci, and Lisa (Bruce) Kietzman; and sister-in-law Kathleen DeWildt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura L. Hardin, and her brother, Steven DeWildt. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 at 11:00 am at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 West Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802 with visitation beginning at 9:30 am at the church.
