DENNIS LEE STIER, 73, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at his home. Born June 26, 1948, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ramona Stier. He graduated from New Haven High School in 1966. Dennis was a U.S Marine Corps and U.S Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War; and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a truck driver and worked several years for Johnny on the Spot.
He is survived by his children, Shirley (Miguel) Delafuente, Cody Stier, Mark Stier, and Kimberly Lemons, all of Fort Wayne, David Owens of Milford, Ind., and Thomas (Melinda) Stier of Georgia; siblings, Dominic (Jane) Stier of Monroeville, Ind. and Dawn (Johnny Rutherford) Martz of Fort Wayne; his companion, Cindy Stier of Fort Wayne: 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Dennis was preceded in death by his siblings, Daniel Stier, Delores Motz, Donald Stier, and Dewayne Stier.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Shirley Delafuente.
