DELORES MAY SHULTZ, was called home unexpectedly by her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Bradenton, Fla. at age 78. A 1955 graduate of Ridgeville High School, she married Neil Shultz, the one and only love of her life, in Kendallville, on Jan. 14, 1956. Delores worked for Fort Wayne Community Schools for 40 years. She was a breast cancer survivor. Her favorite pastimes included baking cookies, singing, playing cards, reading, and being active at church. She demonstrated love and care for others, and most importantly displayed her faith in Christ Jesus to those around her. She invested much time in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which will forever be cherished. Surviving are her four children, David (Cyndi), Cheryl (Doug) Keim, Mark (Kim), and Doug; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Brenda), Elizabeth (Luke), Nicholas (Molly), Matthew (Ali), Kristen, Zachary and Kara; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Raulin Gillette; and mother, Dorothy (Brown) Gillette. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Avalon Missionary Church, 1212 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, (IN 46819) with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, (IN 46809). Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Avalon Missionary Church food pantry.
