Debra K. (Partin) Gillespie, 61, of Key West, Florida, passed away in the afternoon on Monday, August 21, 2017. Born on October 13, 1955, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late, Jake C. and Theresia R. (Dirnberger) Partin. Debra graduated from Northrop High School and Indiana Business College in Fort Wayne. Debbie loved boating, traveling, and going on house and garden tours in Key West. She worked for the City of Fort Wayne Fire Department, then retired after serving as the assistant to Mayor Paul Helmke. She is survived by her husband John; sister, Brenda Kolb; brothers, James D. Partin and Timothy R. Partin; niece Elizabeth Reimer; nephews, Brian (Lori) Kolb and Tyler Partin; great-nephews Skyler Hill and Coleman Kolb. Debra was also preceded in death by her brother, Ronald C. Partin.
A Celebration of Debra’s Life will be held at 3pm, on Sunday, September 10, at The Fort Wayne Turners Athletic Club, 3636 Parnell Ave., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805. Memorial donations may be given to Parkview Home Health and Hospice, Fort Wayne.
