Deborah L. "Deb" Muesing, 63, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away at home on Saturday, November 25, 2023. She was born on September 15, 1960, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Robert and Patricia (Stier) Hire. She graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School, then later received a Master of Science Degree in Special Education from St. Francis University. She worked for the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center for 17 years, and SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect) thereafter as a Healthy Families Support Worker Supervisor. Towards the end of her career, she worked for Liberty Health. She enjoyed taking naps, drinking coffee, puzzle books, swimming, and laying out in the sun. She will be remembered fondly as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving family include her husband, Mark Muesing; daughter, Kirsten (Sam Morris) Muesing; son, Jordan Moore; granddaughter, Madeline Morris; and siblings, Mark Hire, Karen Hire, and David Hire. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her son, Shawn Jackson, and brother, Greg Hire. Funeral prayer service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
