David Reynolds, father of three children, passed away on Friday, July 1st, 2022. He was brought up in Fort Wayne, Ind. David attended Franklin College and then Indiana University-Purdue University at Ft. Wayne graduating in 1964 in Administration and Management. He went on to become Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Guardian Photo in Novi, Mich. David then moved with his family to Scarborough, Maine and became the Principal & Vice-President of Photo Operations at Bicknell Photo. After six years at Bicknell he opened his own photo store in Portland, Maine called City Photo Center. Genovese Drug Stores based in Melville, N.Y. then hired him as Vice-President & Director of Photo Merchandising where he spent nearly ten years building the business. He managed and developed a division selling and manufacturing photofinishing, film and cameras. Soon, after many successes, he went on to become the Senior Vice-President of Fujicolor Processing a Division of Fujifilm in Elmsford, N.Y. where he spent seven years growing the business into a $500,000,000.00 industry. Looking for a slower pace, he then opened his own business again Focus 2 Solutions where he provided consulting to many businesses including Walgreens and Eckerd Drugs. David was very active with the Photo Merchandising Association and was the Director of the Sea Cliff Chamber Players. David had a passion for baseball and basketball being a lifelong NY Yankees fan. David was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh and his kind spirit. He is survived by his children, David Reynolds, Sue Bergdall and Jennifer Reynolds; grandchildren, Antonio Reynolds, Todd Reynolds, Justin Dunlap, Robert Dunlap, April Seip, Kelly Moulton and Kenny Moulton; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. David was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Margaret (Ruckel) Reynolds; sisters, Janet Smith and Chris Murphy. A special thank you to his niece, Maggie Wimberly; friends Jim Thomas, Dave Buzynski, The Bannars and the McCoy’s. At the families request, private services will be held at a later date.
