David A. “Dave” Byers, 59, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. He was born on June 17, 1960, a son of the late John “Jack” and Mary (Johnson) Byers, Sr. Dave’s family was very important to him and he will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. Surviving family include his wife, Lola Byers; children, Sheri (Ashley) Johnson, Jennifer (Adrian) Greene, Katherine (Chad) Byers and Alan (Kymmy) Byers, and Jacqui (Kenny) Spillers; grandchildren, Trace, Eliana, Iza, Trista, Daishaun, Darnell, Alasia, Trinity, Hunter, Noah, Kasten, Dakota, Isiah, Lillyann, Talim, Rayden, Chad, Jr.; and brothers, Ron (Dawn) and Chuck Byers. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother, John Byers, Jr. Funeral service is 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Current social distancing and group sized rules will be followed. Mask are recommended but not required. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
