David Lendon Brown passed away peacefully on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 75. A devoted father, proud veteran, and steadfast man of faith, David’s life was marked by service, wisdom, and quiet strength.
Born on June 17, 1949, to Lendon Brown & Audrey Brown in Chicago Illinois. David grew up with a strong sense of family and purpose. He answered the call to serve his country through military service; a chapter of his life that instilled in him discipline and deep resolve. Following his honorable service, David pursued higher education in business law, equipping himself with the knowledge and principles that would guide him throughout his personal and professional journey.
David was a man of thought and strategy, often found deep in concentration over a chessboard or engaged in a spirited game of poker. These hobbies reflected his sharp intellect and love for connection through competition and camaraderie.
A devoted follower of Yeshua and an Israelite by faith, David’s spiritual path was central to his identity. His faith was evident not only in his beliefs but in the way he treated others with integrity, humility, and quiet grace.
David is lovingly remembered by his four children, Marcus, Daina, Deondra, and Marlin. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Tia Brown; and his son-in-law, Gregory Gwyn. He was the proud grandfather of Tashyra, Damarcus, Derell (preceded him in death), MyLin, Adonis, and Oniah. His legacy continues through nine great-grandchildren, Bre’Asia, King, Anaya, Majesti, and Kari, as well as four great-great-grandchildren, Lillyana, Denzel, Dominic, and Damon.
David’s life was a testament to perseverance, love, and enduring faith. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
In honoring David’s life, we remember a man who lived with dignity, loved deeply, and whose presence will be missed beyond words.
