Dante grew up in Southwest Allen County. He graduated from Homestead High School in 2008. He eventually moved to Texas where he hoped to build a life for himself. It was in Texas where he became seriously involved in Alcoholics Anonymous. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree and was attending the University of North Texas, pursuing a Masters in Social Work. He had hoped to work in the field of addiction counseling. He was a gifted musician and an avid gamer.
Dante is survived by his parents, Louis and Carlyn Gallucci; his sister Maria Lockstadt, his nieces Annalouise and Josephine Lockstadt; his Uncle Carl Thomas, Uncle Frank, Aunt Tina, and Aunt Sandy; his grandmother Rita Gallucci; dozens of loving addicts who carry on the program; his devoted friend Farina, and by his cat, Zia.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Carl and Betty Lavoncher, and Frank Gallucci; his Uncles Peter and Michael Patrick Gallucci.
A service will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 1:30 PM with visitation from 11:30 AM until time of service at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be made to Burning Tree Ranch, 2827 County Road 101, Kaufman Texas, 75142, and Dallas Pets Alive.
