Cynthia “Cindy” Lou King, 60, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was born in Fort Wayne and was the daughter of Robert and Joan Hartwig. Cindy worked many years at Slater Steel and most recently at Walmart. She had a memorable smile, enjoyed the Appalachian Mountains and spending time with her cats.
Surviving are her mother, Joan Hartwig; son, Cody (Rachael) King; sister, Pam (Steve) Slentz; several nieces and nephews, and her caretaker, Jackie Wolfe.
Preceding Cindy in death are her husband, Michael, and her father, Robert Hartwig.
Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne.
To profess Cindy's love of the color purple, please wear purple on Tuesday in her honor.
