Christopher Brian Lenhart

KIP CHRISTOPHER LENHART, 65, passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday, June 21, 2021, at home surrounded by his devoted family. He was the most loving husband and father. Kip was a vibrant, giving, thoughtful man who fought a very brief and courageous battle against cancer. Raised in Lakewood, Colo., alongside his sister, he was busy from the get - go - high energy, curious and inventive. He was an adventurous spirit, who enjoyed the outdoors. His love of learning led him to graduate from Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colo. A true family man who was always present, Alice and he enjoyed raising their family in Fort Wayne. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Alice; daughters, Ashley (Chris) Miller, Brittany (Nathan) Furiate and Casey (Michael) Kaplan; sister, Missy (Paul) Kovach; and six grandchildren, David, William, Charlotte, Theodore, Arthur, and Veda. Funeral service is 4 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at D.O. McComb & Sons, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46825), with the family receiving visitors at 3:30 p.m. The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Visiting Nurse. If desired, friends and family may make memorial contributions to the American Red Cross or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
