Christine A. Roberts

Christine A. Roberts, 85 passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. Born on September 30, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Louise (Michling) Acker. Christine worked in banking and bookkeeping for many years. She also enjoyed her time as a military wife traveling extensively and was an active member of the Officers Wives Club. She had a passion for volunteering after her retirement. She enjoyed going to bingo, attending functions with her classmates from Central High School, listening to live bands with friends, cake decorating, and spending time with her cats and any other animals she encountered. Christine had a great sense of humor, and you rarely saw her without a big smile on her face. She loved life and made the most of every minute. Christine is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Richard Machcinski) Roberts; son, Duane Roberts; stepdaughter, Judy (Thom Aycock) Weicht; brother, Everett (Gloria) Acker; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her significant other, Richard Walker; brother, Louis Acker; and sister, Mary Madden-Johnston. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Christine's name can be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
