Charles Edward Hart, 72, of Churubusco passed away unexpectedly, October 7, 2024 at his home. Charles was born October 23, 1951 in Elkhart to Charles and Elsina (Mead) Hart. Charles was a military history buff. He fully supported his son, Charles when he joined the Marines and his adopted son, Lee when he joined the Air Force. He was an avid golfer with his parents. Charles loved his granddaughter Lily and enjoyed building Lego’s with her. He was a hard worker, proving he was able to keep up with the 20 year olds at work when he was in his 60's. Charles would give the shirt off his back to help anyone he could. He is survived by his son, Charles Hart; granddaughter Lily Hart and adopted son, Lee Ward. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Jaymee Hart. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM, Friday, October 11, 2024 at Highland Park Cemetery, 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825. Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
