Carolyn Rose “Carol” Lerch, 94, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024 in the compassionate care of the staff of Parkview Hospice and Lutheran Life Villages. Carol was born in Cincinnati on October 22, 1930, and was preceded in death by Herbert, her beloved husband of 68 years; her parents, Louis and Lillian Kuwatch; and her brother, Robert. She is survived by sons, Steve (Eileen) of Radford, Virginia and Jeff (Teresa) of Fort Wayne; three granddaughters, Rebecca (fiancé Nick Haskins) of Ithaca, New York; Kayla (Ryan Weaver) of Wabash, Indiana; and Courtney (Alan Cummins) of Gilbert, Arizona; five great-grandchildren, Lillian, Raven, and McKenzie Weaver; Avery Roberts; and Isla Cummins; brother-in-law, Donald Lerch; four nephews and one niece; and many friends in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Indiana. Services will be private.
