Carol Jean Renner, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on May 15, 2018. Born on September 23, 1934, in Harlan, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Alice (Durnell) Schieferstein. She worked at Magnavox for several years, and retired from GTE as a Key Punch Operator.
She is survived by her sons, Dave Renner, and Kyle (Karen) Renner; brother, Robert Schieferstein; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Stanland, and Mary Grover; and great-grandson, Baby Eddie.
Funeral service will be 5pm, Tuesday, May 22, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 3pm, until time of service. Memorial donations may be given to the Allen County SPCA.
