She graduated from Elston Sr. High School in 1970.
Early in life she loved crafting and sewing handmade young kids Halloween costumes. She made the first stuffed dinosaur that our son wore when he was two or three. In the 90’s she and four other individuals at the Church created a soup kitchen for the needy. Every week they served over 160 full meals including 60 plus delivered meals to the shut-ins. Finally, she began to bake goodies for the ones that worked on Fridays putting bulletins together at the church. She helped with the bulletins as well. For the past 20 years, she has been building little treat bags; dressing up as the Easter Bunny, Leprechaun, Christmas Elf or Santa depending on each of the different holidays and pass them out either in Church, a restaurant, even a gas station, because they needed a smile.
At the same time she decorated the Church Alter (every Sunday), maintained the Children’s library for the Church and taught Sunday School Kindergarten thru Middle School (not all at the same time). We also did Youth Group always together from 1982 through 2000 at the Churches we were attending.
She learned to build desktop computer 286’s through the Quads. The 286’s required the pins to be set on the chips correctly to get the machines just to turn on, let alone work. She opened her own company named it Bytes & PCs. She maintained the business for eight years. She furnished standardized quality component computers for less than retail.
