Carol M. Barnhart Richardson Williams, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her residence. Carol was born May 2, 1935 in Allen County, daughter to the late Charles W. and Helen (Butt) Smith. She was a graduate of Huntertown High School and had attended Indiana University. Carol worked in retail sales and was an active member of Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her children, Cheryl (James) Richardson, Terry (Kelly) Barnhart, and Lisa Lahr, all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Katrina Barnhart, Christopher Barnhart, Larry (Sierah) Barnhart, and Shantel Lahr; great grandchildren, Ajanae, Shaniya, Jackson, Charly, and Rai; nephews, Don Smith, Dave Smith, and Bob Smith; step-children, Harriet (Phil) Hastings, Coleen (Dave) Shane, Cynthia Morse, Di (Ross) Bowles, and Debbie (Ryan) Rogers; and step-grandchildren, Nicholas, Riley, Spencer (Tara), Courtney, Max, Cole, and Booy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry K. Barnhart; second husband, Gilbert Richardson; third husband, Richard Williams; grandson, Steven Barnhart; great granddaughter, Kyri Barnhart; brother, Lee Smith; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Barnhart. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren, 6404 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46807 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation for Carol will also be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6600 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
