CARL ERNEST MEYER, 88, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at his residence. Born Dec. 18, 1924, in Huntertown, Ind., he served in the U.S. Army and Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He worked in electronics at Magnavox for 30+ years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and The Buick G.S. Club of America. Surviving are his wife, Helen (Rider) Meyer of Fort Wayne; daughter, Carolyn Meyer of Fort Wayne; grandson, Carl Eric (Amanda) Meyer of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Amber (Patrick) Arnold of Grabill; and sister, Sr. Anna Clair. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St, with calling from noon to 1 p.m. Father Joseph Gaughan officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, with Military graveside service. Preferred memorials to American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W.
