Carl Bradley Adams Sr., 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023. He was a much loved father and the greatest grandpa any family could ever hope to have. He loved family “TONK” games whenever any of the kids/grandkids were in town, and was always the loudest and most obnoxious fan in the stands at every ballgame he ever attended! His khaki pants with a button down dress shirt were his trademark and his hugs were epic! Carl was born on March 31, 1935 in Norton, Virginia, a son of the late Brad and Ollie Mae (Thacker) Adams. Carl owned and operated A&M Furniture in Monticello and Delphi, Indiana. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and working at Cherry Hill Golf Club. Surviving family include his sons, Gary (Dorothy) Adams, Rev. Carl Bradley (Elizabeth) Adams, Jr., Robert ( Rev. Becky) Adams; grandchildren, Rachel (Austin) Myers, Dawn (Kevin) Olson, Misty (Heath) Davis, Amanda Adams, Carl Bradley (Sarah) Adams, III, Sarah (Darrell) Adams, Stacy (Seth) Volker, Leslie (Tony) Ganger, Zachary (Alexandria) Adams, Elliot (Emily) Adams, Kathryn (Logan) Stuller, Shawn (Shanna) Maynard, Shane (Annie) Maynard; 34 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren; sister, Shirley McAlister; and brothers, Doug Adams and Bruce Adams. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Nella (Wilson) Adams; Daughter, Sharon Maynard; and six siblings. Funeral service will be 4:30 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at First Assembly of God, 1400 West Washington Center Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 3:00 pm.
