Brandon Clarence Stokes, 35, passed on to Heaven on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born August 22, 1988, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Randy Stokes and Yvonne Stokes. Brandon found a personal relationship with Christ and invited Him into his life as a teenager. During his early adult life, Brandon was actively involved in activities at Sonrise United Methodist Church. Brandon graduated from Northside High School and continued on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. Brandon honored both his country and community by serving in the Indiana Army National Guard for eight years.
Brandon worked as an intel-analyst for a Maryland-based contractor, and most recently worked as a truck driver specialist, for an Illinois based company. Brandon loved spending time with his girlfriend, his brother, sister, nephew, family and friends. He enjoyed coaching and supporting local football teams, listening to music, and was a food aficionado. Brandon was and still continues to be a giver of life: by his continual donation of blood plasma and at his passing, donating his organs, as a gift, to the Indiana Donor Network.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Randy Stokes and Yvonne (Larry Shelton) Stokes; siblings, Ryan (Audrie Pressler) Stokes and Autumn (Armon) Murray; nephew, Ryan Bradley Stokes, Jr.; grandparents, Julia Griffin, Clarence Stokes, and Jerome (Dorothy) Shaw; girlfriend, Lauren Smeltzer; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Brandon is preceded in death by his uncle, Dwight Griffin Jr., and his grandparents, Jill Stokes and Dwight Griffin Sr.
A visitation for Brandon will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sonrise Church, 10125 Illinois Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
A funeral service will occur at promptly 1:00 PM at Sonrise Church, 10125 Illinois Road, Fort Wayne Indiana 46804. Burial will follow immediately after the funeral service at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, 1801 Maumee Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46803. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Mungovan.
Flower donations may be delivered to Sonrise Church or in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Yvonne Stokes, in care of the memory of Brandon Stokes, 12366 Brean Way, Fishers, IN 46037.
