Brad Wiltse, 72, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Born on April 1, 1951, in Janesville, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Frederick W. and Geraldine (Nelson) Wiltse. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and served as the Captain of the Aboite Township Fire Department from 1987-2003. He retired from General Motors Fort Wayne on December 31, 2011, after more than 31 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Sonja (Fritzke) Wiltse; daughter, Sarah (Travis) Vaughan, of Greenwood; son, Scott (Kim) Wiltse, of Winter Haven, Florida; siblings, Ann Stover, of Beloit, Wisconsin; and Robert Wiltse, of New Berlin, Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Ronald (Linda) Fritzke, of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Michelle, Remington, and Meghan; and his best friends, Thomas Jewell, Charles Sathre, and Dennis Dooley, all of Janesville, Wisconsin.
A Celebration of Brad’s Life will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Indiana Parkinson Foundation or Promedica Home Health and Hospice.
