Bonnie Sue Savage

Bonnie Sue Savage, 70, of LaOtto, Indiana, passed away December 10, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born August 21, 1952 in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Walter Kirkpatrick and Mary Scott.

Bonnie graduated from Eastbrook High School and earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Indiana University. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for 50 years. Bonnie was a Nurse Practitioner and worked at the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center for 35 years.

Bonnie had many hobbies throughout her life. She enjoyed crafts such as sewing and crocheting, making jewelry and doing beadwork, and building stained glass and ceramic decorations. Watching and feeding birds, particularly hummingbirds, and attending to her garden gave her peace outdoors. She loved to be in the kitchen trying different recipes and baking sweets. Making homemade gifts for people brightened many of her days.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Savage of LaOtto, IN; children, Wendy (John Mason) Savage of Fairfax, VA; Randy Savage of Elkhart, IN; brothers, Kenny (Rhonda) Kirkpatrick of Fairland, IN, Tom (Debbie) Kirkpatrick of Sneads Ferry, NC; and a sister, Kathie (Steve) McAtee of Marion, IN.

A funeral service to honor Bonnie's life and legacy will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Avenue, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. She will be laid to rest at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

A visitation will also take place on both Sunday (December 18) and Monday (December 19) at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne.

Sunday visitation hours: from 3:00 to 7:00 pm

Monday visitation hours: from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm
