Betty Jane Lehman, 94, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at her home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born December 4, 1927, in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of William H. McKinney and Irene Miller.
Betty worked at Dana Corporation for over 13 years, and retired in 1986. She was a founding member of Christ’s Church at Georgetown. Betty enjoyed tending her flowers, crocheting, making quilts with her Christian sewing group, and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Brenda Lehman, Janie Baker, Yvonne Houx, all of Fort Wayne, IN, Evelyn “Sue” (Mike) Trzynka of Sandusky, OH; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roy D. Lehman; granddaughter, Amber Firestine; siblings, Dorothy Dixon, Evelyn McKinney, Mary Volk, and Jack, Robert, William, and John McKinney.
A funeral service to honor Betty's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also take place from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
