Betty L. Beaman, 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday January 27, 2021. She was born on January 29, 1928 in LaSalle, Illinois, a daughter of the late Joseph and Jewel (Wheet) Cassel. She worked for Eli Lilly, Crest House Drapery for 26 years, and H&R Block for 25 years before retiring in 2006. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Surviving family include her daughter, Cheryl (Jerry) McClain; sons, Bradley (Diana) Beaman and Gregory (Anita) Beaman; grandchildren, Sean McClain, Christopher, David, and Danielle Beaman; and great grandchildren, Marshall, Hannah, and Benjamin. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Ernest E. “Bud” Beaman; four sisters and two brothers. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Maple Hill Cemetery, 709 Harding St., Plainfield, (Indiana 46168) with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association or Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana (DSANI).
