Bernice I. Zimmerman, 84, of Fort Wayne passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017. She was born on April 12, 1932 in Van Wert, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Florence (Bechtol) Beck. She was the owner of Cassandre’s Boutique. Her family was extremely important to her and her number one priority and passion. Surviving family include her children, Debra (Matthew) VanMeeter, Thomas Zimmerman, Vicki (Rusty) Malaise, Judy (Tracey) Lerch; seven grandchildren, Lexie and Tristan Lerch, Hanna, Dustin, and Allie Malaise, Jenna and Kayla VanMeeter; and seven siblings. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by four siblings. Private family services will take place at a later time. Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children Hospital.
