Barbara "Barb" A. Lyons

Barbara “Barb” A. Lyons, 86, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Parkview Randallia. Barb was born on July 13, 1932 in Ossian, IN to Ross Gebert and Icel Bosserman. She graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne, IN. On June 21, 1951, she married William Joseph Lyons in Fort Wayne, IN. Barb worked for Magnavox for many years until she became a loving mother and homemaker. In later years, she worked at McDonalds. Barb was a member of the Red Hat Club. She loved to crochet, play games, scrabble, and cards. Barb was also a cardinal enthusiast and loved birds. She was a fan of Notre Dame, Colts, and Raiders football teams. Barb loved to travel and be outside doing yard work. Barb was a people person and loved to spend time with her family and dear friends. Survivors include her children; Deb (Jerry) Martin, Cindy Lyons, both of Fort Wayne, Steve Lyons of Nashville, TN, Judy (Joe) Heiney, of Churubusco, Pat (Angie) Lyons, of Fort Wayne, and William “Bill” Lyons of New Castle, IN, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great- grandchildren, and a sister, Betty (Bill) Gough of South Bend. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 brothers, John and Dave Gebert. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a 7pm Rosary service at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 4, 2018 at 11am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
